One of the Family Pet Care Centre and Resort wasn't just created in 1996. It had been a passion brewing in both of us (Gary and Sharon) for many years. Who could have known 20-years ago, that our dreams would merge together.

With both of our backgrounds and training it was a perfect match. Our lives were both dedicated to animal welfare, so we decided to create a facility to share our knowledge and "hands-on-training" with other people who love animals too.

When we opened "One of the Family" in 1996, we were located on 30th Ave. North in Cranbrook on a beautiful four and a half acre property. Our client list grew to an overwhelming number and many of the pets became our lovely companions and their owners became friends.

In 2008, the growth of our business motivated us to move with our daughter Sophia to a gorgeous grassland and forested, 25-acre property. With highway #3/95 frontage, the property is 7 km west of Cranbrook and offers easy driving access to our continually growing clientele and their pets.

Now, in 2021, we are moving to a new property and will soon be open to serve pets and pet owners in the Creston area.

For your animals health and welfare moving to such a pristine property allowed "One of the Family Pet Care" to have 5 separate buildings so that our clients were not all housed together. This assures a quiet stress free environment.

Dogs in our care can look out to the pastures and fields, while safely in a secured fenced play-yard. Double gates provide extra security and protection for the dogs.

Our combined pet care experience, within our family between Gary, Sharon and Sophia is now over 40 years.
